Third Annual Wolverines Golf Tournament Set To Go

Once again, the Legends Golf and Country Club will be hosting the Third Annual Wolverine's Golf Tournament.

We will be hitting the links on Sunday, June 22nd with registration at 7:30 AM and the Shotgun Start at 8:00. The entry fee will be $120 for 18 holes of golf and a steak dinner to follow. There will be lots of door prizes, as well as a chance to win $20,000 for a hole-in-one.

Second Annual Wolverines Golf Tournament a Huge Success!

The Second Annual Wolverines Golf Tournament took place June 24 at the Legends Golf and Country Club just south of Fort Saskatchewan.

Bantam Coach Brian Lee again did a great job of organizing the happenings. With a tournout of over 60 golfers, the tournament raised a nice chunk of change which will go directly into putting the best possible equipment on our players.

The Legends has gained a reputation as one of the premier tracks in Northern Alberta. It is a magnificent 27-hole layout, offering challenges to the experienced golfer while allowing less experienced players the opportunity to have a great day on a very scenic course. First Annual Golf Tournament a great success!

All the golfers had a great time, and we raised some significant dollars for the football team. Our thanks to the following sponsors for their generous donations to the cause!

There are so many others to thank for the hard work and dedication that they put into the tournament in order to make it a huge success. But we must single out Brian Lee and Rick Kereliuk for performing above and beyond; making sure that all the golfers got out on time, organizing the hole sponsors, and getting some prizes that were truly awesome. Great job guys, we all owe you big time.

Although the weather was, shall we say, less than ideal and we had to cut the tourney short to a 9-hole affair (unfortunately we didn't have scuba gear available to us), a great time was had by all, and a very substantial amount of cash was raised for the club.

We are already looking forward to the 2007 tournament. We hope that all the golfers return to be a part of that one, and that we can add even more participants. Bigger and better things to come in the future!
